At Miramichi Afro-Connection (MAC), it is our mission to uphold and celebrate our traditions, while embracing inclusivity and diversity by:
Assisting newcomers in familiarizing themselves with the local community and resources.
Offering support and information to ease the transition process
Providing cultural orientation sessions to help individuals navigate and adapt to their new environment.
Facilitating connections between newcomers and established members of the Afro and Caribbean communities.
Hosting cultural celebrations, festivals, and gatherings to showcase the diversity and richness of Afro and Caribbean heritage.
Collaborating with local organizations and partners to create inclusive and engaging social experiences for all community members.
Since its establishment in 2018, the Miramichi Afro Connection (MAC) has played a pivotal role in enhancing communication and raising awareness of African and Caribbean culture within the local community. Through its efforts, MAC aims to promote the rich cultural values and contributions of Africa and Caribbean people in Canada.
